Duties / Responsibilities

We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer for an exciting Airport project which includes rehabilitation, expansion, operation and commercial enhancement of a growing regional airport involving construction of a new terminal. As the leading national airport and home to the national carrier the airport is highly visible. The project is a 25 years concession worth c$800m. The company has an Annual Turnover of approximately US$100 million and around 350 staff.

Job purpose

Run existing major airport operations and facilitate new Terminal opening in late 2012. Ongoing development and expansion and stakeholder and concession management.

Experience

The CEO will bring first class project leadership and finance skills, coupled with a good understanding of on-going Airport operations. He will work closely with the Board to manage various stakeholders, improve the flow of information and bring discipline to the contractors’ as they seek to fulfil the project’s complex and changing specifications.

Training

Well versed in the cultural attributes of the region, and possibly an Arabic speaker, candidates must possess relevant expertise in international airport projects/ ventures, with at least ten years at the senior/executive level and no less than five years’ experience within similar-sized infrastructure companies.

Skills / Expertise

Ideally, you will have a working knowledge of, public-private-partnership (PPP) and Build Operate Transfer (BOT) airport projects, with first-hand expertise in management of a public to a private-sector culture, including implementation of new systems and procedures to enable effective performance of the business.
