Aviation Week Wins Six Aerospace Media Awards

Journalists from across Aviation Week by Informa took home six honors at the 2026 Aerospace Media Awards, including two won by veteran editor Guy Norris.

Norris, who has reported on the industry since 1987, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award. He also won in the Best Breaking News category for an Aviation Week article written with colleague Graham Warwick on how satellite images had revealed a new widebody transonic test site in China.

Aviation Week’s Check 6 Podcast won the Best Multimedia Aviation category, accepted on behalf of the entire editorial team by Editor-in-Chief Joe Anselmo and Podcast Editor Guy Ferneyhough.

Also winning honors were:

• Emerging Technologies Editor Garrett Reim, who won the Best In-depth Feature category for his Aviation Week & Space Technology cover story on the “Quantum Arms Race.” Subscribers can read it here
• Air Transport World editors Victoria Moores, Alan Dron, Aaron Karp and Chen Chuanren won the Best Passenger & Crew Wellbeing category for “A Burning Issue,” their in-depth report on the danger of lithium ion batteries onboard passenger airplanes. Subscribers can read it here
• David Bentley, chief airport analyst for CAPA: Center for Aviation won the Best Efficiency and Sustainable Aviation award for his feature on green financing of airports. CAPA subscribers can read it here   

The Aerospace Media Awards were presented at a July 19 gala in London on the eve of the Farnborough Airshow. This year’s winners were selected from more than 700 entries reviewed by a team of 13 judges.
