AIRPORT SHOW - show return a pleasant surprise

ADB Safegate has been attending the Airport Show in Dubai for some years. As the show was cancelled last year, the company agreed to attend this year as a show of support for the industry, but with fairly low expectations. According to Asfa Butt, Marketing Communications Event Officer, they have been pleasantly surprised.

Butt travelled from the ADB Safegate head office in Belgium. She said: “This is the first physical event we have attended since the pandemic began, and there was some reluctance as we were not sure how well attended it would be. However, it has been better than we expected. We have had a number of good meetings with customers and prospects, and have been able to promote the whole range of our airfield solutions, gate solutions, tower and the whole portfolio.

Colleagues from the UK who were due to attend, have been unable to because of the UAE’s red listing, but as the company has a Dubai office the stand has been well manned.

Butt added: “The success of this event is very important for the industry. It is how we will launch the way forward and reconnect with our customers and potential customers.”
