Aircraft Planner
VHR are urgently seeking an experienced Aircraft Planner for an exciting opportunity and excellent terms of employment
The role is to ensure Aircraft compliance with all regulatory and manufacturers requirements, and to confirm the maintain, modify and test performance of aircraft, systems, and components for full operation, involving regular inspections, maintenance and servicing.
Key Accountabilities also include but not limited to:
- Coordinate and plan the scheduled maintenance of aircraft using approved aircraft maintenance programs. Monitor aircraft movement, condition, and maintenance requirements to ensure minimum interruption of flight operations.
- Prepare and schedule long-range maintenance forecasts and planning schedules for aircraft and engines.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Departments, Service Vendors, and Maintenance to ensure effective scheduling of engine removals, heavy maintenance, and aircraft modifications.
- Per company policy and procedure, prepare and issue work scopes to maintenance outstations, certified vendors and heavy maintenance facilities.
- Research and coordinate work scope requirements to ensure the proper maintenance is performed.
- Ensures availability of properly completed documentation and required parts.
- Maintain familiarity with existing aircraft maintenance programs.
- Monitor the revisions and changes to these programs for impact to short and long-term maintenance plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with all Maintenance Departments to establish a maintenance plan that provides continuous maintenance flow with minimum interruption to flight operations.
- Coordinate the scheduling of Engineering Orders, Airworthiness and Fleet Campaign Directives, Service Bulletins, and Work cards with Maintenance and Materials, if parts are required.
- Requisition parts and services as required accomplishing scheduled maintenance.
- Coordinate and acquire approval from the aircraft owner for accomplishment of modifications, services, or parts replacement.
- Apply the latest concepts and techniques needed for effectively planning, scheduling and controlling maintenance activities.
- Review the critical operational requirements for successful planning and control of the maintenance work.
Required:
Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical)
Minimum3 years experience in aviation engineering.
