AIME 2010: Launch of Show Business event daily praised by Sheikh Ahmed

One very keen reader of the new Show Business – the show daily newspaper produced in association with Arabian Aerospace – was His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum, the chairman of Dubai Airports, President Emirates Airline group and the head of the Dubai civil aviation authority.

Sheikh Ahmed was touring the exhibition halls at the start of Aerospace Week which included Aircraft Interiors Middle East and MRO Middle East.

He stopped at the Arabian Aerospace booth and took his personal copy of Show Business from editor Alan Peaford.

Sheikh Ahmed praised the regular magazine for representing the growing aerospace industry across the region. “It is an important region for aviation and it is good to have a magazine covering what it happening.”

He and Peaford shared a joke as His Highness looked through the pages and read a story about him opening the show. “I like it!” he said.

The daily newspaper was aimed at visitors and exhibitors at the Aerospace Week event and appeared for the first time today. It is published by The Times Group, in association with Aerocomm.

"We are pleased to see the daily appear. The publication gives the chance for exhibitors to get more people to notice their products and allows our experienced Arabian Aerospace journalists to add some perspective to events around the industry that have impact at shows like this," Peaford said.

"We were delighted that Sheikh Ahmed liked the publication. He is not just a figurehead for the aerospace industry in Dubai, he is really involved. It is people like Sheikh Ahmed that we know read the magazine and are supporting it."
