SINGAPORE—Japanese helicopter broker AirX has signed a firm order for two Eve Air Mobility eVTOLS at the Singapore Airshow and also secured options for 48 more.

The order represents the first firm commitment for Eve’s aircraft in the Asia-Pacific region.

“Asia-Pacific is a fantastic market for advance air mobility (AAM),” said Luiz Mauad, Eve’s vice president for Customer Services, on Feb. 4. He pointed out that eight of the world's 10 largest cities are in Asia and that the Eve aircraft is ideally suited for urban transport, such as shuttle services from airports to city centers. Eve showed the Haneda airport to Tokyo route as one possible application. Travel time in this case would be 15 minutes or less.

AirX is currently brokering helicopter service and has no plans to operate the eVTOLs either, instead leasing them to operators. Its current business includes sightseeing flights but also urban transport and helicopter shuttles. The Eve aircraft are to be introduced within the next five years.

An uncrewed prototype of the Eve eVTOL made its first flight Dec. 19, 2025, at Embraer’s Gaviao Peixoto airport in Brazil. More than 300 test flights involving six aircraft near to production standard are planned for 2026.

While the first sorties were using only the lifter rotors, Eve will expand the flight envelope gradually and go into transition flights also using the pushers early this year. Full cruise—only using the pushers—is planned for the middle of the year. Eve says it expects certification and first delivery to customers for 2027.
