DUBAI—Abu Dhabi venture Autocraft is presenting the Chinese-built E20+ fixed-wing tiltrotor eVTOL at the Dubai Airshow for the first time.
The fully electric vehicle made by Shanghai-based TCab Tech includes four five-bladed tiltrotors and two fixed vertical-lift rotors that Autocraft claims should only emit 45 dB of sound.
TCab is flying and certifying the E20 in China. Autocraft has a pre-order agreement with TCab for up to 350 of the aircraft, for intended use in aerial tourism and air taxi operations in the Middle East and North Africa.
The eVTOL, on show in the Dubai Airshow's AAM Pavilion, is configured with twin horizontal stabilizers and a vertical stabilizer with split rudders.
Two of the tiltrotors are fitted to the wingtip of the main wing, with two more fitted to the tip of the horizontal stabilizer, while the fixed rotors are fitted to booms attached to the leading edge of the main wing. It also features swappable 800V batteries in the wings. Autocraft says the batteries can charge from 20% to 85% within 20 minutes.
Autocraft, a subsidiary of local technology company K2, notes the aircraft travels at a cruising speed of 260 kph (162 mph) and a has maximum flight speed of 320 kph. Its maximum range is 200 km and its cruising altitude is 300-600 m.
The E20+ is flown by a single pilot and includes seating for four passengers.
Autocraft previously signed a strategic partnership with TCab in November 2024 to explore and expand the commercial applications of the E20 in the UAE.
