Even before taking office, president-elect Donald Trump is shaking up the business world, taking credit for keeping 1,000 UTC jobs in Indiana that might have gone to Mexico. “Companies are not going to leave the United States anymore without consequences,” Trump says. The parent company of Pratt & Whitney and maker of the F135 engine may have been motivated to keep those jobs stateside to remain in the Trump administration’s good graces. But industry analysts see the company’s decision as a sign that outsourcing is losing its luster.
