Loftleidir Icelandic, which has bought a majority share in Cabo Verde Airlines, has big ambitions for developing routes and increasing tourism to Cape Verde.
From December 17, 2015, the airline will launch the weekly link to Rotterdam - Europe’s largest cargo port, operating every Thursday, with immediate connections to Sao Vicente, Praia and Boa Vista.
The route will operate from the city of Praia on the island of Santiago and will provide connection opportunities for inbound and outbound travel from/to other Cabo Verdean islands: Fogo, Sao Vicente, Sal and Boa Vista. The link will be flown by a Boeing 757-200 configured with 210-seats.
