WestJet is planning to expand its transatlantic network during summer 2026, continuing to leverage the long-range capabilities of its Boeing 737 MAX fleet.

Although Avianca has pulled capacity out of the Colombian market, the operator has opted to expand at the country’s second-largest airport in Medellin.

Avianca is adding flights from Medellin to Buenos Aires, Lima and Santiago as part of efforts to further increase its point-to-point network.
