Japan’s defense ministry has proposed to start working with a foreign partner on the country’s Next Generation Fighter.

A powered target simulating a cruise missile was shot down by a guided 2.75-in. rocket fired by a Lockheed Martin F-16 to demonstrate a relatively affordable capability to defend bases from attacks by waves of cheap cruise missiles.
