Intelligent, Global, Growing: Discover Pratt & Whitney MRO Solutions
Buying an engine is a decades-long commitment. Pratt & Whitney EngineWise® solutions bring together our growing global footprint, a portfolio of flexible services, and commitment to sharing technical expertise, fleet data and business intelligence with our customers – to enhance fleet outcomes and enable more informed decisions across the engine life cycle.
With a global network of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities, we’re focused on meeting increasing aftermarket demand. We’re making strong progress on the industrial ramp – increasing material availability and putting in place the engine overhaul capacity that we need to support the growing fleet.
We’re expanding MRO capacity around the world — both in our shops and across a network of industry leaders, hiring hundreds of new employees and inserting new technologies to increase operational efficiency. In 2024, we added two new MRO shops to the network in Europe – SR Technics in Switzerland and OGMA in Portugal, totaling 18 active locations worldwide with plans for an additional shop to come online by 2025.
The MRO network is backed by more than 100 field representatives in 60 offices across six continents, as well as our Line Maintenance Services (LMS) team, which provides technical support and issue mitigation around the world. In addition, we offer regional, local and virtual training options through three customer training centers in the U.S., India and China.
Our portfolio of services gives customers flexibility to choose what’s right for their unique operational and financial needs. Offerings include long-term fleet management programs, transactional engine overhaul and part repair, life-limited part (LLP) solutions, new and used serviceable material programs, engine swaps, an engine lease pool, and predictive analytics.
EngineWise® Intelligence offers a range of engine health management services from compiled engine data to expert analysis of operational data. Our ADEM™ (advanced diagnostics and engine monitoring) system provides analysis for more than 10,000 engines, which customers can interact with through a suite of digital tools in our EngineWise® Connect customer portal.
Pratt & Whitney’s technology insertion is a multi-year plan to further enhance operational efficiency and productivity, and in support of this we have established two centers of excellence. The Singapore Technology Accelerator is focused on driving efficiency on the shop floor using data analytics, robotics, advanced inspection, connected factory and digital twin. The North America Technology Accelerator, is focused on material restoration and process automation including advanced repairs, digital inspection, adaptive processing, and coating and masking for compressor and fan parts, blades, cases and more. For example, Alfred, a robot at our Eagle Services Asia facility that was designed to assemble the high-pressure GTF compressor rotor, has reduced build time by 50% using automation. In collaboration with our Singapore Technology Accelerator, we are now scaling and expanding this advancement into and across Pratt & Whitney’s global MRO footprint.
With an expanding global footprint, growing portfolio of services and a focus on driving innovation and new technologies into our facilities, we’re redefining what’s possible to support our customers.
