Only a handful of business aircraft can be seen at the Singapore Airshow this year but those that made it to the static display are answering the region's need for such a way of flying. Executive charter demand is benefitting from the impact of the pandemic. Some travelers have chosen the private flight option to avoid large gatherings.
Short distances and small groups of people may be served by a turboprop or a light jet. A characteristic of the region's market, nevertheless, is the long distances that flying internationally involves. Large-cabin, long-range business jets are therefore the fastest-growing segment in Asia-Pacific.
