FARNBOROUGH—Lilium has expanded its Power-On Aftermarket Services portfolio, announcing a suite of digital tools designed to support future operators of its electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
The digital suite includes flight planning and aircraft performance ground and Electronic Flight Bag solutions, an AI-enabled customer portal and other ground operations and safety tools.
As development continues, the offering will expand further to integrate capabilities for efficient flight planning, which Lilium noted would leverage proprietary algorithms for its energy and propulsion systems, as well as suitable ground operations and vertiport management systems.
The digital portfolio “will set new standards in the regional air mobility market,” said Lilium CCO Sebastian Borel. “Our unique Lilium Power-On offering, which now includes this rich portfolio of essential operational solutions, ensures our operators can access an incredibly comprehensive suite of services for Lilium Jet operations.”
Working with Amadeus, Lilium’s Power-On services offering also aims to develop and offer passenger check-in and biometric vertiport security screening capabilities, and ensure that the travel technology company’s global reservation and distribution systems can be used for eVTOL operations.
The company described its digital systems as representing another step toward the Lilium Jet’s planned entry into service in 2026.
Lilium debuted its Power-On business unit at the Singapore Airshow in February, offering services including training, maintenance, ground service equipment and material and battery management. It has estimated that the services market for its eVTOL jet will reach at least $5 billion by 2035.
The company has already announced several partnerships for its services business, including flight training with Lufthansa Aviation Training and FlightSafety International; global material services with AJW Group; and digital aircraft health management solutions with Palantir.
