The Chemical and Biological Lab assesses and optimizes dispersion methods for the neutralization of media. The center’s technology research includes simulation and analytics, system analysis, applied mathematics, chemicals, composite materials, metals and ceramics, propulsion, avionics systems and sensors, communication and sensing, cybersecurity, materials and processes, and product standards.

The Machine Perception Lab develops technology that allows computers to “see” the world around them and create virtual representations used for factory planning and various other applications.

As part of the Center for Applied Simulation and Analytics (CASA), the Modeling & Simulation Lab focuses on technology development and evaluation. Projects included an Australian-developed weather server that can be integrated into multiple simulation environments.

The BR&T-Alabama Chemical Thermal Lab features the Atmospheric Plasma Deposition research and development system. This center is now one of 11 Boeing research centers. They are in Australia, Brazil, China, Europe, Russia and the U.S. (including Alabama, California, Missouri, South Carolina and Washington).
