TAP CEO Antonoaldo Neves said the carrier has grown 10%-15% every year. In 2019, it will take delivery of 37 new Airbus aircraft, including the A330neo, A321LR and A320neo.

Airbus Commercial Aircraft president Guillaume Faury said the biggest benefit of the A330neo is its double-digit percentage in fuel savings.

TAP's A330neo has 34 business-class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. Seat-pitch is 42 in.

There are two galleys on the TAP A330neo. This one is located between business and premium-economy class.

Premium-economy class offers 96 seats and a 34-in. seat pitch. There is just a little extra charge for passengers between economy and premium economy, TAP managers say.

TAP's standard economy class offers a 31-in. seat pitch. These are the same seats as in premium economy.

The aft-galley, in the back of the aircraft, is galley No 2.

TAP Air Portugal, launch operator of the Airbus A330neo, took delivery of its first aircraft, an A330-900, on Nov. 26. TAP plans to have three aircraft in service by year-end 2018. The new aircraft is scheduled to enter service between Lisbon and Sao Paolo, Brazil, in December.
