Poll: What sustainability efforts in aviation will see the most growth and development this year?

Credit: Textron Aviation

Textron Aviation says it plans to harness the wind to supply nearly all energy needs at its factories in Wichita and Independence, Kansas, under a 20-year wind-energy agreement with Evergy.

Evergy’s new green-energy program is expected to provide Textron Aviation’s Kansas facilities with 55 megawatts of energy from a 300-megawatt wind farm now under construction near Manhattan, Kansas. The Soldier Creek Wind Farm is scheduled to be online by year-end.
