August Jet-A Fuel Prices
The average cost of a gallon of Jet-A fuel in the U.S. in August totaled $7.61, down 47 cents compared to July figures, but up $2.07 per gallon compared to a year ago, according to a survey of U.S. fixed base operators by the Aviation Research Group. All eight FAA regions experienced declines during the month, with the largest decrease found in the Central region, with a decline of 58 cents. The smallest decline was in the Western Pacific region with a 41-cent per gallon decrease, while Jet-A fuel was most expensive in the Eastern region with an average cost per gallon of $8.20.
