Bankruptcy Total Hits 26; Another Dozen Carriers At Risk, IATA Says
IATA says at least 26 airlines have declared bankruptcy so far this year, and the group is monitoring another 11-15 that are deemed to be at risk. For bankrupt airlines to remain in the billing and settlement plan that IATA oversees, they must provide a financial guarantee or deposit.
