China’s Minsheng Financial Leasing Co. Ltd (MSFL), already the major Chinese buyer of business jets for its home market with 32 aircraft delivered or ordered to date, plans to do the same with helicopters. MSFL will vigorously expand into helicopters, with 20 orders planned for this year, VP Zhang Bo told an international finance conference in London last week.

Zurich-based corporate jet charter and management company Fly Comlux is hoping to open an air bridge between its Almaty, Kazakhstan, base and Beijing with its new partnership with Beijing Capital Airlines (formerly DeerJet). FARNBOROUGH — The permanent location of the U.K.’s Military Aviation Authority (MAA) should be decided by the third or fourth quarter of this year, as options continue to be narrowed down . The MAA was established in 2009 by the government following the Haddon-Cave report on the loss of a Nimrod MR2 with all crew over Afghanistan in 2006. The intent was to create a regulatory body to more effectively “audit and assure” military aviation.
