World Routes 2013: Top 10 Must Pack Items for your World Routes Suitcase

We asked our staff and the community on social media – “What are the Top 10 items you pack before travelling to a World Routes?” As usual you didn’t disappoint and we’ve compiled a list of what not to forget before flying out to join us in Vegas.

10. Chargers

When attending an event we’re all literally armed with technology. We have our mobile phones, iPads/tablets, laptops and with each of them having a separate charger (to my annoyance!) it’s easy to forget one before leaving home!

9. Footwear

Some of our seasoned delegates will already know but for our first-timers it’s good to invest in some comfy shoes. You’re going to be covering a lot of ground during an intense four days of conference content, Face-to-Face meetings and walking through the networking village and you don’t want to end up with the dreaded ‘Routes feet’!

8. Flip Flips & Shorts for Welcome Reception and Party Frock for Networking Evening

This year the World Routes Welcome Reception, sponsored by the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino, will take place on Saturday 5thOctober at the Mandalay Beach Club so Shorts and flip fops are a must to feel the sand between your toes. The Las Vegas Networking Evening will take place in the Garden of the Gods at Caesars Palace, sponsored by Caesars Entertainment, so don’t forget your favourite party frock and dancing shoes.

7. The essentials…

  • Berocca,
  • Eye Drops,
  • Paracetamol,
  • Dry Shampoo,
  • Hand Sanitizer,
  • Hair Straighteners (for the ladies)
  • Shaver (for the men)
  • Plasters,
  • Mints & Chewing Gum

6. Marketing Gifts

Everyone likes a good corporate gift, the quirkier the better! Make sure the contacts you make at World Routes don’t forget you by giving them something to remember you by.

5. Smartphone to download the World Routes 2013 app!

Downloading the World Routes App (which will be available on iOS and Android) will ensure that all event essential information such as the floorplan, airline table locations, delegate listings, city guide, and meeting diary access is available at the touch of a button.

4. Business Cards

We’ve all been at that all important meeting and realised we don’t have a business card to give to the contact we just made haven’t we? Avoid embarrassment by making sure you have enough business cards for the many new contacts you’re going to make in Las Vegas...put them in your suitcase now!

3. Memory sticks with presentations

Airlines receive so many presentations at World Routes and nobody wants to fill their suitcase with paper! Give out copies of your presentation on a memory stick that can be slipped into a pocket and taken away...not left on the table at the end of the day.

2. E-badge (PRC Number)

Speed up the registration process on arrival at the event by ensuring you have you E-badge with you.

1. Passport, Up to date ESTA & US Dollars

Don’t leave home without these items….if you do, you won’t get anywhere near Las Vegas and we want to see you there!
