Transaero seeks rights for US services

Russian carrier Transaero has applied for regulatory approval to commence services from Moscow to New York and Miami later this year.

The carrier currently operates Punta Cana and Toronto on a 2x weekly basis. If the service gets the green light, Transaero will compete in the New York market with Delta Air Lines and Aeroflot which operate JFK from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.
