Tiger Resumes Melbourne-Darwin Service

Tiger Airways has resumed service from Melbourne to Dawin today (Friday June 18) on a six-times weekly frequency.

Earlier this year Tiger also began services to Brisbane from its home base in Melbourne.

In september the carrier will also fly to Cairns and Rockhampton.

Melbourne airport's CEO, Chris Woodruff, said: "These additional services to Darwin bring the total number of destinations out of Melbourne on the Tiger network to 12."

This announcement follows Tiger commencing services on the Melbourne - Sydney route, introducing additional aircraft to its fleet and increasing services to other destinations throughout Australia such as the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Hobart and Adelaide from Melbourne.
