Thai launching service to Norway

Thai Airways International is launching a non-stop passenger service from Bangkok to Norway's capital Oslo.

The Star Alliance carrier says in a statement it will be launching a five-times-weekly non-stop service on the route starting 15 June.

It will use its Airbus A340-500s, it adds.

No other airlines operate on the route according to Innovata and Thai says it is the first southeast Asian carrier to serve Norway.
