Taking place on Sunday 1st February 2015 and open to all attending delegates, the Routes Americas Strategy Summit will open Routes Americas in Denver, Colorado, USA. The Strategy Summit will provide a valuable insight into aviation across the region as panels of leading industry experts take part in a number of moderator led panel discussions addressing key air service development issues affecting commercial aviation across the entire Americas region.
Attendees of the Summit will hear a Welcome Address from Kim Day, CEO, Denver International Airport and a Keynote Speech from John Byerly, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, U.S. State Department. Two moderator led panel sessions covering aviation related subjects will then take place.
Session one, entitled Airline Spotlight - How will new routes be successful across different airline models? Will attempt to answer questions such as how has LCC growth and consolidation changed airline planning? For North-South travel in the Americas, will LCCs see the most growth? How do you benchmark route-specific success and is that benchmark changing? This session will be moderated by Michael Bell, Vice President of Spencer Stuart and will see participation from Dave Clark, Vice President, Network Planning, JetBlue Airways; Barry Biffle, President, Frontier Airlines; David Dague, Vice President, Airline Strategies, InterVISTAS and Rafael Araujo, Manager, Network Planning, GOL.
Following the first session, attendees will hear from Peter Cerda, IATA Regional Vice President for the Americas, who will provide an insight into the new IATA-ALTA study on infrastructure and taxes In the Americas. This will be followed by a speech from Courtney Miller, Regional Manager for the Americas at Bombardier Commercial Aircraft who will discuss the shifting dynamics of the regional market in the Americas.
During the second session; Winter Tourism: What are the new tourism flows to consider? The discussion will cover trends in destination choice, how travel patterns are evolving and how north-south travel is changing in light of new flights and new carriers. The panel will be moderated by Gregg Moss, Anchor, 9News Denver and speakers will include: Richard Scharf, CEO, Visit Denver; Johanne Gallant, Interim President & CEO, Greater Moncton International Airport; Elizabeth Scotton, Chief Commercial Officer, Montego Bay Airport; Peggy Croes, Chief Commercial Officer, Curacao Airport Partners.
Finally, delegates will hear from Tom Clark, CEO of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation before the final remarks.
Routes Americas attracts the industry’s key decision makers and is the must attend event for all those interested in meeting with the industry's key players.
