Spirit double up on Vegas

Low cost carrier, Spirit Airlines has revealed that it plans to double its capacity on its existing Fort Lauderdale to Las Vegas service from one to twice daily. The increase will be effective 01 May and the flight will be operated with A319 aircraft. There are three carrier currently operating between these two markets. In addition to Spirit Airlines

• US Airways 7x weekly
• Southwest Airlines 7x weekly

US Airways currently has the majority market share on the route with 32% with 325,000 pax having travelled between the city pairs.
