Singapore's Tiger firms up Langkawi and Penang
Singapore low-cost carrier Tiger Airways has firmed up plans to launch scheduled flights from Singapore to Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia.
The carrier says in a statement the Singapore-Penang service starts 18 July as twice-daily and increases in November to thrice-daily.
It also says the Singapore-Langkawi service starts 1 August as four-times-weekly and increases to daily in November.
These services have come as a result of a new air services agreement Singapore and Malaysia recently signed.
The agreement allows more carriers to operate and opens news routes.
