RX member Flydubai announces Khartoum operation

FlyDubai is to open a new route to the Sudanese capital Khartoum next month.

FlyDubai plans to operate daily from Dubai International to Khartoum, the longest sector so far on its fledgling network.

Services will commence on 8 November.

Khartoum will bring to eight the number of FlyDubai destinations, which also include Beirut, Amman, Damascus, Aleppo, Alexandria, Djibouti and Doha.

FlyDubai has increased its fleet this month to five Boeing 737-800s.

flydubai network coverage includes all airports within approximately a five hour flying time from Dubai, creating a rough circle stretching north into Russia, as far East as Bangladesh, West into the Mediterranean and as far South as Tanzania. flydubai's focus is primarily on point to point traffic and it seeks to stimulate demand for travel in new markets as well as in the United Arab Emirates.

Flydubai are requesting airport proposals for new service in the 'Route Exchange'.
