Qantas links Australian capital and Darwin
Today Qantas has begun the first of three-times weekly services linking Canberra to Darwin.
Group executive , Qantas Airlines Commercial, Rob Gurney said: “Qantas’ new Canberra-Darwin return services shows the Group’s two-brand growth strategy at work, where both Qantas and Jetstar are able to connect Northern Territory customers to a wide range of business and leisure destinations.”
Introduction of the new route will meet demand from government, business and leisure travellers, he said.
Capacity will be filed using their 737-800 aircraft (168 seats), with flights departing Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
