Pluna to serve EZE

The national carrier of Uruguay, Pluna has announced that it will operate scheduled service from Montevideo to Buenos Aires (EZE).

The route will be served from March 2nd and will be operated with a CRJ on a daily rotation. There is currently no service between these airport pairs, however Pluna does operate an 11x weekly to Jorge Newbury airport (AEP).

However there appears to be demand for service to EZE with over 30,000 pax having flown from Montevideo to EZE in the previous 12 months.
