The total number of departure seats from and within the Asia-Pacific region is projected to reach 561.6 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, reflecting a 3.5% year-on-year increase and a 4.6% rise compared to the same period in 2019.

China's domestic market remains the dominant player, accounting for nearly 37% of total capacity, while India's domestic market contributes 9% of available seats in the first three months of 2025.

Although overall capacity from and within China has remained flat year-over-year, India has experienced a 9.9% increase in seat availability, while Japan has seen a 4.3% rise.

Among the other standout markets, Thailand recorded a 13% increase in capacity compared to Q1 2024, while Vietnam and Malaysia posted growth of 10.1% and 14%, respectively.
