New carrier aims for September start

A new Palau-based carrier called Pacific Flier aims to start passenger and cargo services on 1 September using an Airbus A310 aircraft.

The carrier will operate twice-weekly services on the Koror-Clark and Koror-Narita routes, say Micronesian media reports. Koror is the commercial capital of Palau.

It also plans a weekly service on the Brisbane-Guam route.

One report quotes company officials as saying that the carrier is awaiting approval to fly to Shanghai.
