Mexicana opens Washington gateway

Mexicana today launches new non stop scheduled service from its fledgling base in Cancun, Mexico to Washington Dulles Airport. The new service will be operated with A319 aircraft on a daily rotation. There are a number of carriers currently operating between Cancun and Dulles (IAD) the larger of the Washington Airports.

Carriers on the route are;

• Delta Airlines - 1x weekly
• Jetblue Airways 1x weekly
• United Airlines 8x weekly

There is no service to Mexico from Ronald Raegan (DCA).
