Mexicana adds new US market
Mexicana, which is currently receiving proposals for its aircraft based in Cancun, has announced that it is to serve the Mexican island of Puerto Vallarta from the main Chicago O Hare Airport. (ORD).
The new service will be inaugrated from December 3rd and be operated on a 3x weekly rotation with A319 aircraft.
Mexicana will face stiff competition on the route with United Airlines, American Airlines and USA 3000 all operating several weekly frequencies between the city pairs. However with Mexicana recently having joined the One World Alliance the carrier will be able to benefit from increased AA feed into the Chicago market which will boost passenger number and allow American and Mexicana to combine their schedules to Puerto Vallarta.
