Lyddair Avoids the Ash Disruptions
While most of the major European carriers have their fleets grounded, there are some small carriers that are operating turboprops which have the ability to fly at low levels.
Lyddair, based at Lydd Airport in Kent (UK) is continuing to operate flights between Lydd Airport and Le Touquet. Lyddair operates turboprops, including B200 King Air, PA31 Chieftain and B58 Baron aircraft.
The flight costs £150 (return fare) or £125 (one-way) and the flight time takes just 20 minutes.
