LCC to add year round Middle East link

Budget carrier Norwegian is rumoured to be considering adding year round service to Dubai, UAE. Norwegian is the largest low cost carrier in the Scandinavian market and plans to add year round DXB from its three largest bases of Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen accordin to reports.

It will potentially add from March 26, a 3x weekly Oslo and Stockholm service and a 1x weekly Copenhagen service. No other carrier currently operates any of these routes on a scheduled basis.

Norwegian has operated DXB on a seasonal/charter basis in the past, but has been rumoured to be eyeing markets in the middle east and was also recently linked with opening a possible US service.
