Kingfisher adds new London service
Kingfisher Airlines has announced that it will commence new non stop scheduled services from Delhi to London Heathrow. The new service will begin March 28 and will be operated on a daily rotation with A330-200 equipment. Kingfisher currently serves LHR from its Mumbai base.
Kingfisher will face competition on the Delhi-London Heathrow sector from the following carriers
- Air India- 10x weekly, B777
- British Airways- 14x weekly, B747-400
- Virgin- 7x weekly, A340-300
- Jet Airways 7x weekly, B777
IATA BSP data (Airport IS) shows that almost 650,000 passengers have flown the route in the period between Nov 08-09, with BA having the largest market share carrying 24% of all flown passengers.
