Meetings are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Popular airline diaries fill up fast, delegates can maximise their chances of securing their priority meetings by submitting requests early.
Are there any other ways that organisations can do to maximise their chances of having meeting requests accepted?
The most popular airlines have received over 450 meeting requests in the last three years. When requesting meetings organisations should use the option to select what the meeting will entail, this will provide airlines with the key information they need.
What are some of the most requested airlines for meetings?
Leading carriers from the Americas region such as Delta Air Lines, American Airlines and United consistently receive a high volume of meeting requests. Norwegian, Lufthansa, Air France and British Airways are some of the most requested carriers from the European region. What should airports do if they want to meet with an airline that has not registered yet for World Routes?
There is a free text field on the meeting request site that can be used to let us know if you would like to meet with any companies that haven't yet registered. Our team will then be able to let them know of your interest.
Will City Pair meetings be available at this year’s World Routes?
Feedback received from World Routes delegates has indicated that City Pair meetings are particularly beneficial for organisations wishing to identify new opportunities and jointly plan “city pair” strategies and presentations. In light of this feedback, we have increased the number of City Pair meetings available at this year’s event from five to eight. When scheduling opens on 4 July, airports and tourism authorities will be able to request up to 8 city pair meetings with other hubs and destinations, for no additional charge.
Are suppliers able to request meetings ahead of the event?
Suppliers with an exhibition stand are able to request up to 5 meetings with airports prior to the event. Suppliers that have not secured an exhibition space should use our Onsite Meeting System, which will be available from Sunday 25 September.
Is there a limit on the number of meeting requests that can be made through the Onsite Meeting System?
Delegates are able to requests as many additional meetings through the Onsite Meeting System as they require. Providing real-time updates and offering around clock functionality, the onsite meeting system ensures that delegates are able to capitalise on the informal meeting options available in Chengdu.
