Indian carrier shifts international focus
Leading Indian carrier Kingfisher has announced plans to change its current international focus. It plans to cancel services to London and Colombo from Bangalore citing a downturn in yield and load factor. However, Kingfisher has plans to launch up to eight new international markets by the end of 2009. Plans for service from Mumbai to Hong Kong and Singapore with A330-200 aircraft which its capacity into London (LHR) being switched from Bangalore to New Delhi.
It also plans to employ A320 aircraft on Dubai and Bangkok also from its Delhi base.
