Hainan proposes Shanghai and Rome

Hainan Airlines is hoping China’s aviation industry regulator Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) will approve two significant routes for the carrier:

A four-times weekly service linking Shanghai and Rome, which could be opened in July (the carrier expects a A330-200 to serve the route) and a twice-weekly operation between Sanya and Seoul, via Nanchang, which could begin in March 2010 - both subject to approval.

The carrier continues to seek further expansion in the Korean market and recently launched a twice-weekly service between Haikou and Seoul.
