Garuda to go Dutch
The national carrier of Indonesia, Garuda Indonesia Airways has announced plans to commence new scheduled services to Amsterdam. The proposed new service will commence 01 June 2010, this is planned to be the first of a new wave of International destinations. Garuda has previously been blacklisted from flying into Europe after a number of safety concerns, but the carrier seems to have overcome this and now plans a number of new services. The new service will be an extension of a Jakarta Dubai service which will compete with KLM and Emirates, who only last week announced new services from Dubai to Amsterdam.
