Emirates to serve Tokyo

From March 28th, Middle Eastern carrier Emirates will serve Tokyo Narita. Emirates will operate a 5x weekly rotation with B777-300ER aircraft. There is currently no carrier operating between the two city pairs, however fellow Middle Eastern carrier Etihad has firm plans to operate to Narita from the neigbouring airport of Abu Dhabi, also slated to commence in March 2010.
