Emirates to serve Narita

Emirates Airlines has announced that it plans to launch a new non-stop service to Tokyo Narita.

The new route will be operated on a 5x weekly rotation and will be inaugurated on March 28th using a B777-300ER. It will be the second destination in Japan to be served by the DXB based carrier.

There are currently no scheduled services between Dubai and Narita.

IATA BSP data (Airport IS) suggests that over 26,000 flew the route between Oct 08-09 with the leading carriers in terms of pax share being Cathay Pacific (via Hong Kong) and Singapore Airlines.
