Emirates to place A380 in Manchester

Emirates Airlines has announced that from September 1st, its Dubai Manchester service will be operated with the worlds largest passenger airline the A380.

Emirates currently operates a double daily B777 on the sector, and is not yet know if the increase in capacity will mean a reduction in frequency.

IATA BSP data (Airport IS) shows that Emirates have carried over 104,000 passengers between the city pairs in the period between Jan 09-10.

Manchester will become the first regional airport in the world to receive a scheduled A380 service.
