Cebu Pacific to begin flights to Beijing

Cebu Pacific, the low cost operator from the Philippines has announced that it will begin new non-stop flights from Manila to Beijing, which will commence from September 5th.

The low cost operator will serve the route on a 5x weekly basis and will compete on the sector with Air China which operates a 3x weekly service (B737-800) and Philippine Airlines which serves Beijing on a 5x weekly rotation with A320 equipment.

The route has seen over 90,000 O+D passengers fly the route between March 09-10, with Cebu Pacific set to attack the flag carrier Philippine Airlines for market share.
