Belavia to serve Riga
The national flag carrier of Belarus, Belavia will launch a new non-stop scheduled service to the Latvian capital of Riga from Minsk from January 19th.
There will be a 3x weekly rotation and Belavia will codeshare on the route with Air Baltic, which itself operates a daily service from Riga to Minsk using B737 and Fokker 50 aircraft.
Belavia now operates a number of services into Europe with the following destinations served:
- Amsterdam - 3x weekly
- CDG (Paris) - 2x weekly
- Moscow DME -14x weekly
- Yerevan- 2x weekly
- Rome- 2x weekly
- Frankfurt - 2x weekly
- Baku- 2x weekly
- Kiev 6x weekly
- Kallingrad - 7x weekly
- St Petersburg- 4x weekly
- London Gatwick-3x weekly
- Milan MXP- 3x weekly
- Prague- 3x weekly
- Moscow SVO- 7x weekly
The existing passenger market between Riga and Minsk is relatively low, with 12000pax flying the route in the last reported 12 month period.
