Bahrain Air will launch flights to the Iraqi cities of Baghdad and Najaf on August 28, 2009.
The announcement of Bahrain Air launching its services to Iraq followed a mutual agreement between both the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Iraqi Civil Aviation authorities. The flights to these two cities will meet the increasing demand from the travelling public and in particular the Iraqi community residing in Bahrain and other GCC countries or those visiting for business or leisure.
Bahrain Air has also decided to launch flights to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, raising the total number of its destinations to 19. It proposes to start the Riyadh service on September 28, 2009.
