BA Franchise to discontinue AMS route
Ba Franchise Open Skies has announced that it will discontinue one of its current two schedule operations. From August 16th the carrier will discontinue its daily flight from Amsterdam to New York which it currently operates on a daily rotation with B757-200 aircraft. The airline has cited the lack of front end demand which has made the route no longer viable.
However, Open Skies has pledged that its other route from Paris CDG to New York will continue. This route was taken over from start up carrier L'avion also using a 757-200 aircraft and Open Skies plans to conitnue this flight.
