Asiana to operate to secondary Tokyo Airport.

Asiana has announced that it plans to operate to Ibaraki, the new low cost airport for Tokyo. The airport itself is situated some 80km from Tokyo.

Asiana, a star alliance member, will commence operations from March 11, 2010 on a daily basis operating with A320 aircraft from its Seoul Incheon base.

Asiana is the secondary flag carrier of South Korea and currently operates 4x daily services to Tokyo Narita with larger aircraft types, mixing its A330, B747, B767 and B777.
