Munich Airport (also known as Franz Josef Strauss International Airport) is the main gateway to Munich and one of the largest airports in Germany. The airport is operated by FMG, founded in 1949. FMG has three shareholders, the Free State of Bavaria, the Federal Republic of Germany and the City of Munich.
